Clean start running Oracle 11g on my HP tx1000 - oh my, off to buy more RAM

I'd agree with db reserving aggressively what it wants, but size of java.exe?! Subject to verify what is inside java.exe in this case.

Stan a switch on the commandline indicates to the JVM how much RAM it should initially grab. You can resize it within the oracle configuration. Oracle is a memory scavenging beast though.

That will help, given my wife queued RAM request for the April, lol.
