If you ever decide to buy an HP laptop

Please, think twice! Read something like: http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1242543643343+28353475&threadId=1188907 to understand that it is not even a high probability of a HW failure but the whole HP laptops support system that represents a high risk to you.

I'm a tx1000 owner and what happened to me (wi-fi not working, touch screen not working) happened to other 10k+ users. Learn from somebody else's experience, avoid your own frustration!

Oh man, and I thought Dell sucks.
At the end for my Dell I think that Vista sucked - I switched to Linux now and everything is a magnitude faster.

Do you use your laptop at all now?

You're right, Vista converts any pc to a pile of crap. Alexei has just bought a netbook with Vista and adores it :):). I already laugh at his naivity.
Although I'm not ready to switch to Linux, all the stuff I develop is Windows. I was more thinking about bare bone VMWare with few virtual machines. Will try it on my new laptop.
